Maxi Skirt Love

Hello lovely ladies! I am back from a short break from Shop Jolie. (I took last week off due to other projects.) I was able to take some photo's downtown this weekend. It was a little chilly, and so I threw on a long pleated maxi skirt, an embellished T-shirt & my jean jacket. Thankfully it was sunny, so I also wore sandals & sunnies! :) Here is my very first post sharing one of my current favorite outfits from my personal closet. I can't wait to share more photos with you all when the weather gets nicer!

Michael Kors Watch // Bag- Phillip Lim for Target (Sadly, all sold out.)

I love wearing maxi skirts this time of the year. Its a little too chilly for shorter skirts, but too warm for long pants. This outfit was perfect for having Sushi & doing some shopping downtown this weekend.

I also fell in love with this skirt/short "skort" from a cute boutique in downtown Ann Arbor. You can find similar ones at TopShop!

And how cute is this record player from Urban Outfitters?? Im obsessed.

I spent a good part of my saturday downtown shopping with my sister, and I tried on some beautiful clothes from this cute store, Pitaya. I love shopping for spring/summer clothes!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and that you are enjoying transforming your wardrobe for spring & summer! I sure have loved adding bright colors and loosing those dreary shades from winter.
I love reading your comments & getting suggestions and feedback, so feel free to leave a note below!

P.S. Keep your eyes open for a spring giveaway coming very soon!!

Top Trend Tuesday: Rompers & Jumpsuits

It's time for another "Top Trend Tuesday" Post! I am currently "craving" rompers & jumpsuits. I have always been a fan of dresses, and this is a great substitute. Keeping it classy is important though! Don't forget to style them correctly, and choose a color or pattern that is flattering to your body type. The following are some of my favorite styles & colors…

Romper Love

Motel jumpsuits romper
Gosh, I adore this one! I love both the color and style. The longer sleeves are a nice twist, and the pink goes great with turquoise or gold. I would wear a chunky necklace with this romper, something like this statement necklace:

I have a black romper already, but I really like this one because the neckline is so unique. You could do a lot with this style, but I think it would look best with black shoes, and some simple diamond studs and a cocktail ring.

Topshop romper
I can't get enough of mint this spring! I love the simple style of this romper from Topshop. I think dangling earrings with a pop of color would look great with this romper.

This is a great shade of green, it is perfect for a more casual occasion. I would wear this with a gold watch and gold accessories.

Another great color! I also adore this collar with the embellished jewels.

Topshop romper
Peach and coral are great summer colors, and the black lace sleeves are a classier take on this romper. Great with dangling earrings and black shoes…

Turquoise is a color that looks good on so many women. This style is also great for a lot of different body types.  If you want something more casual, you could dress it down with a jean jacket and sandals. I really like wearing gold with turquoise, like this necklace…

Here are some more ways to style rompers & Jumpsuits…

Jumpsuits are becoming more and more popular. I have one from ASOS, and I love it. You can style them in a very similar way as a short romper, but make sure your shoes work with the pant length!

Here are some fun pink rompers that I love for spring & summer.

Some great sites for buying rompers are:
Saboskirt.com
Lulus.com
Forever21.com
Topshop.com

You can find some really fun prints & styles when you keep your eyes open when shopping. I love long sleeve rompers for spring when it is still a little cooler outside.

I hope you were inspired by these photos! I am definitely excited to add some more rompers & jumpsuits to my wardrobe, how about you? :)

Enjoy your week!
Much love,

My Spring To-Do List

Happy Thursday! Thank goodness Friday is just a little ways away, am I right?
I was thrilled to find the sun shinning today.
And the warmer weather has finally started because it was 70 degrees outside! YAY!

I found a great list on one of my favorite blogs, The Glitter Guide, the other day. They listed their spring to-do list, and this gave me a great idea to make my own, and also share some of the things I want to do over the next few months with all of you!
Here is their list….

And here are some of the things I want to do this spring, I hope you will have a chance to do them too!

I have several books on my to-read list, but I really want to read Rachel Zoe's new book "Living in Style." it sounds so good!
I want to spend more time exercising. I want to do more yoga, bike riding etc. And I also want to start eating more fruits & veggies. I want to get ready for swimsuit season, while also having fun exercising & eating well.

It is a great time to go through your home & clean things from top to bottom! I always do my spring cleaning in April, and I go through my clothes at this time as well. When going through the items I want to keep, I also spend time looking at blogs and Pinterest to get ideas for spring trends & new outfit inspirations. I took the pictures from today's post from Tumblr. I love looking at my site to get inspired when re-decorating or changing my wardrobe.
(Check out my Tumblr page for more inspiring photos like these…. dreamalittledream4me.tumblr.com)

Don't forget to get outside, roll down your windows & let in the fresh breeze! It feels amazing after months of cold and cloudy weather. I like to eat outside at restaurants as often as I can in the spring and summer,
really take advantage of this when you can!

Try out new recipes, buy a bottle of wine you've never had before,
make a fruity cocktail, buy fresh flowers to add to your coffee table...

Embrace the season through everything that you do!

Now is also the perfect time to buy a cute new umbrella, a sweet floral fragrance, and a new shade of lipstick!

I hope you enjoyed my list of spring to-do's! What are the things you love about spring?

Much love,
